Well,
I noticed some additional code in my index page of the UFO. This code looks to have been calling up various path sequences which would display either the same colour as the background colour or just for the purposes of bot indexing.
So the question is "how did this get there?"
I believe that it is achieved via the following technique
1) A bot makes contact with your site and leaves a path that cpanel recognises and lists in the control panel (As link traffic highest ranking)
2) Should the web site owner while in the control panel then click on any of the these paths indicated by cpanel then as you go through to the target site it dumps code into your index file.
Think about it... you're in cpanel. Password protection is down.
Hence, while in cpanel NEVER click on any links that take you outside the cpanel environment while you are logged in. |
